The Story Behind “Just Something…”
(May 2023)
1 year ago I was presented with a fork in the road when it came to my career.
1 year ago I made a big pivot and did something that wasn't in my "career plan". I left a company I loved and started a business to pursue a passion in all things development (learning, career, professional, leadership, organizational).
I spent 1 year trying to learn, figure things out, stumble, doubt my decision and ultimately keep doing what was HARD. I have learned so much from great mentors and other people that have taken this journey. It is unbelievable to me how kind, supportive, and helpful other people are in the consulting/entrepreneur community.
1 year later I want to give back as well. Not because I have figured it out or know all things but because we can all learn from each other.
'Just something' is a subject line I have used to share things that others have put out in the universe that have spoken to me. After 1 year of deciding to take this leap, I want to start to share the 'just somethings' I have learned in hopes of learning more from my network, friends, and community.
The first week of June will start my journey in posting a weekly 'just something'. If it resonates with you let me know, if you have your own 'just something' you want to pass on that is amazing as well.
Big THANK YOU to everyone in my community that have helped, encouraged and supported me over the past year. Here's to another year of pivots knowing that you can have a plan and in a moment that can change. Just enjoy the ride!
